Refund Policy for COOKWITH

This Refund Policy ("Policy") governs the terms under which refunds are provided for services booked through COOKWITH, an online marketplace for interactive cooking sessions operated by ALTBE TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED COMPANY ("we," "us," "our," or "Company"), a private limited company incorporated under the laws of India. By using our mobile application ("App") or website at www.cookwith.live (collectively, the "Services"), you ("User," "you," or "your") agree to this Policy.


1. General Refund Policy

All payments made for booking one-on-one or group live interactive cooking sessions ("Sessions") with culinary instructors ("Chef Instructors") are non-refundable. This is because once a Session is booked, the Chef Instructor’s time slot is exclusively reserved for you, preventing other Users from booking that same slot. Allowing cancellations or refunds would result in a loss of revenue for the Chef Instructor, as they rely on these bookings for their income.

        No Cancellations or Rescheduling: Once a Session is booked, it cannot be cancelled or rescheduled by the End User (the person booking the Session). The funds will be deemed used and cannot be reused for other Sessions or purposes.


2. Exceptions to the No-Refund Policy

Refunds or rescheduling may be considered under the following exceptional circumstances:

Chef Instructor Fails to Attend

        If the Chef Instructor does not attend the Session (e.g., a no-show), the End User may request a rescheduled Session at a mutually agreed time between the End User and the Chef Instructor.

        If rescheduling is not possible or the End User prefers a refund, a full refund will be processed within 3-5 business days and it will be credited to the original payment method within 7-10 business days.


3. Chef Instructor Cancellations

Chef Instructors are required to provide at least 48 hours’ notice if they need to cancel a Session. In such cases:

        The End User will be notified immediately, and we will attempt to reschedule the Session at a mutually convenient time.

        If rescheduling is not possible or the End User prefers a refund, a full refund will be processed within 3-5 business days and it will be credited to the original payment method within 7-10 business days.

If a Chef Instructor cancels with less than 48 hours’ notice, they may face penalties, such as account suspension or fines, to ensure accountability and protect End Users.


4. Refund Process

To request a refund under the exceptions outlined above, please follow these steps:

        Contact our support team at [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) within 24 hours of the Session’s scheduled start time.

        Provide your booking details, including the Session date, time, and Chef Instructor’s name.

        Specify the reason for your refund request (e.g., Chef Instructor no-show).

Our team will review your request and process the request within 3-5 business days. If approved, the refund will be credited to your original payment method within 7-10 business days.


5. No Refunds for Other Reasons

Refunds will not be provided for reasons other than those specified in this Policy, including but not limited to:

        End User’s change of mind or inability to attend the Session.

        Issues with the End User’s internet connection, equipment, or ingredients.

        Dissatisfaction with the Session content or Chef Instructor’s performance.


6. Payment Gateway Charges

In cases where a refund is issued, any transaction fees or charges imposed by the payment gateway may be deducted from the refund amount, as per the payment gateway’s terms.


7. Amendments to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted on the App and website, and continued use of the Services after such changes indicates your acceptance of the revised Policy.


8. Governing Law

This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or related to this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, India.
